The Airline Customer Advocate manages complaints about the 5 participating airlines. These are currently Jetstar (Jetstar Airways Pty Limited), Qantas (Qantas Airways Limited), Rex (Regional Express Holdings Ltd), Tiger (Tiger Airways Australia Pty Limited) and Virgin Australia (Virgin Australia Airlines Pty Ltd.)
For complaints about non participating airlines, the airline’s website should contain information about how to contact it, and in many instances, will also include specific information about how to complain online. There may also be a call centre number for consumers to contact as a first step.
As noted above, the Airline Customer Advocate manages eligible complaints about Australian domestic flights provided by Jetstar Airways Pty Limited (JQ) and Tiger Airways Australia (TT).
The Airline Customer Advocate is unable to manage complaints about the following airlines as they are not participating airlines:
